Adopting from Saving One Life
Each animal is placed in a loving foster home while they are fully vetted and prepared for adoption. At minimum, all animals receive applicable vaccines and are microchipped, dewormed, altered. Additionally, felines are tested for FeLV / FIV (as determined by age). If any additional vetting is needed, it will be completed prior to adoption.
In order to be eligible to adopt an animal, you must complete our online application. Once received, it will be reviewed by our adoptions team.
If applying for a feline, the applicant will receive a response via email within 48 hours.
If applying for a canine, the applicant will receive a response within five (5) days.
Please remember to check your email spam folder as our response could have landed there.
If and when an applicant is approved, a time will be scheduled for the applicant, an adoption coordinator and the animal to meet. If the animal and applicant are a match, the adoption process will be completed and in most cases, the animal may go home with their new family.
Question regarding your application should be directed to the appropriate email contacts:
Our adoption fees vary by species, breed, age, etc.
Typical canine adoption fees range from $150 – $500.
Typical feline adoption fees range from $75 – $200.
If an applicant opts to adopt two or more felines at the time, a 10% reduction in the total adoption fee total would apply.
Additionally, we do offer a 10% discount for all military personnel (not to be combined with the multi-feline adoption discount).
We are fortunate to have several locations where Saving One Life felines are located and waiting for their forever homes. We recommend obtaining approval and scheduling a meet and greet prior to visiting the felines of interest but not necessarily required.
We have several PetSmart Adoption centers in Arizona.
We also have available felines at Kitty Pause Kitty Cafe in Mesa, AZ.
Canines are in loving foster homes therefore appointments are required for any and all meet and greets.

We provide for any and all needs for the animals in our care. If we determine that an animal is not suitable for adoption, they will join our sanctuary program. Sanctuary animals may have health and / or behavioral challenges. The rescue will provide for all the animal’s needs for the duration of their life.
